My sport was soccer: where we got physical and dirty; wore over-sized uniform shirts and shorts; and wore shin-guards, covered to our knees with sock. I declared my major at Michigan State University in Elementary Education, with a concentrated subject matter in Language Arts. My certification requirements encompassed various teaching courses and English studies.
